તનમાં તારા પ્રાણ પૂરે, શ્વાસેશ્વાસ તને લેવરાવે

સમય-સમય પર યાદ અપાવે, કર્મો તારાં સદા ભાળે

દુઃખમાં જ્યારે તું પોકારે, સહાય કરવા દોડી આવે

ભાવમાં એના ડૂબે જ્યારે, દર્શન દેવા દોડી આવે

મનમંદિરમાં સદા વિરાજે, છતાં એ નજર ન આવે

કૃપા એ તો સદા વરસાવે, હૈયે તને એ લગાવે

The person who will stay with you in happiness and sorrow, who will lovingly take care of you

When you are drown in darkness, who will guide you the way by illuminating your path
Who is such a person of yours?
When your boat is stuck in the whirlpool, who will be the captain of your boat
Who is such a person of yours?
Who will fill life in your body and will make you breathe
Who is such a person of yours?
Who reminds you ever of your deeds from time to time
Who is such a person of yours?
When you call in distress, who comes running to help you
Who is such a person of yours?
When you are drowned in deep affection, who comes immediately running to appear

Who is always there in the the temple of the mind, yet you cannot see

Who regularly showers grace and embraces you to the heart

Here, the devotee is questioned about his own people who will stay beside him at all times and who will never leave his side.
