I do not know Oh Almighty, when you will give me promotion

I want to fill and fill my heart full with your devotion

Carry me and carry me towards that goal, give right motion

I want to be in myself and myself; do not want to be carried by emotion

Be watchful and keep an eye on my notions and notion

I want and want your feelings, only do not keep on it any ration

Your knowledge is pervading everywhere, give me strength to learn a lesson

Please keep me and make me always alert to face any situation

Questions and questions arise in my mind, make it free from question.

English Explanation

In this English hymn, Kaka is asking help from God in His surrender to Him -

I do not know when you will help me to change my focus to focus only on you

I want to be fully and completely devoted only to you

Please help me to come to you by pulling me to you also

I want to reach you and do not wish to be swayed by other distractions

Please guide me on my path to you so that I do not lose my way or stop my journey to reach you

Please do not hold back in your help to me as I cannot do anything without your help

You are teaching me everything that I need to and please enable me to actually understand everything you want for me

Please enable me to handle any circumstances I may have to face in life by always being with me

Please help to remove any and all doubts of you and your help.

Our attention and appreciation is often towards the worldly things in life but we need to redirect that towards God by replacing everything that take up all our attention and consume us by God Himself, who is the actual creator of everything and the Ultimate. We need to beseech God to allow this to happen through our sincerety and devotion and enable us with His grace to come to Him, such that we do not get side-tracked. When we surrender to God, He will ensure that we do what He wants and thereafter, pave our way to reach Him.
