In this English hymn, He is teaching us how we should live our life -
We all are always curious and want to know about every thing and about every one, even though they are of no concern or relevance to us
We all want our life to go exactly as we wish it to be and hope for it to be, but we are not prepared to do exactly what all is needed to have such a life
We all crave to be close with someone with whom we can share all our burdens, fears, hopes and so forth, but we will not be able to find anyone who can ever meet all our expectations and hence, we should be cautious in opening ourselves to such an extent
We all wish to live our life without any kind of tumult, but we are ourselves are unable to make the necessary efforts to become peaceful and calm
We all get both physically and mentally exhausted with the things that happen in our life and wish it all to stop somehow, but this does not mean that we should give up on life itself
We all wish that we did not have to be disturbed and distressed about anything, but we do not do anything within ourselves to stop such worries
We all wish that we are loved by one and all, but we ourselves are unable to make the efforts to love one and all
Even though it is not possible to be right about every thing, we always think that we are right about everything
Whether we do anything wrong or even everything right, we will still receive ample judgements, both positive as well as negative
Our misconducts and wrongdoings will always remain so, even though how few they may be
We will continue this same cycle over and over in our lives and if we don’t learn from it, time will elapse and we will never get back that expired time again
Kaka is gently guiding us on the futility of defining and chasing after wrong objectives and neither doing what is even required to achieve success even on the wrong objectives. We need to ascertain the true objective of our life of becoming one with the Divine and then make all the necessary efforts only in this specific direction, without digressing from our clear and defined objective.
