In this Gujarati bhajan Kaka ji is teaching us the approach towards life. He is also making us understand that you have to be stable in your mind and strong in your determination, to achieve something in this universe which gives you permanent happiness.
Kakaji expounds
Instead of making a palace of cards,
a small hut of grass is better.
With a small push the castle of cards will be destroyed.
The small hut shall give lots of shelter and coolness.
The one who does not have deeper foundation, they shall soon falter.
The palace looks very beautiful but what to do with beauty. The worth of anything cannot be just counted by outer experience.
If you want to stay on land, then you have to dig your roots deep, to be stable.
If you are building the palace of cards, then surely calculate the heat and the storm.
Fragile palace and fragile thoughts shall collapse soon.
You will have to endure the storms and heat in your life.
The palace of cards will always make you happier for a moment .
Here Kakaji is explaining so simply that
anything temporary cannot give you long lasting happiness. You have to make your foundation strong, so that the base of your life is powerful.
