સૂર સાથે સૂર જો મેળવશો નહીં

તો બેસૂરા બનશો તમે આ જગમાં

તાલ સાથે તાલ જો મેળવશો નહીં

તો બેતાલ બનશો તમે આ જગમાં

આફતોનો સામનો જો હિંમતથી કરશો નહીં

તો ફેંકાઈ જશો તમે આ જગમાં

દુઃખો રડી જો દુઃખો ગાશો

તો દુઃખી થાશો તમે આ જગમાં

જગતની ગતિ સાથે જો ગતિ કરશો નહીં

તો પાછા પડી જશો તમે આ જગમાં

દુઃખીના દુઃખને જો સમજશો નહીં

તો પુણ્ય ચૂકી જશો તમે આ જગમાં

સંસારમાં રહી `મા' સાથે જો પ્રીત જોડશો નહીં

તો અવસર ચૂકી જશો તમે આ જગમાં

ભાવભરી સદાય જો ભક્તિ કરશો

તો પ્રભુ દૂર નહીં રહે આ જગમાં

duḥkhō raḍī jō duḥkhō gāśō

jagatanī gati sāthē jō gati karaśō nahīṁ

If you want rhythm in your life , you will have to match your tunes.

If you don't face catastrophic situations with courage, you will be hurt badly.

If you allow yourself to be consumed by your sorrow, you will remain depressed all the time.

If you don't keep up with the time you will be obsolete very fast.

If you are not able to understand and be compassionate towards others suffering, you will miss the opportunity to do your good deed.

If you reside in this world without having any affection for the Divine, you will miss the opportunity of your life.

But if your devotion is full of affection, then you will be able to experience the Divine.
