નામ થકી તારાં, માનવનાં કાર્યો સિદ્ધ કરતી તું
સિધ્ધાંબિકા કેરું નામ ધરી, ડીસામાં વસી છે તું
ભક્તો કેરાં કામ કરવા, જગમાં જ્યાં-ત્યાં ફરતી તું
બહુચરા કેરું નામ ધરી, શંખલપુરમાં વસી છે તું
માતા આવળના શબ્દો પાળી, પગે ખોડ સ્વીકારે તું
ખોડિયાર કેરું નામ ધરી, તાંતણિયા ઘરે વસે છે તું
કામક્રોધરૂપી હૈયાં કેરાં, ચંડ-મુંડને મારે છે તું
ચામુંડા નામ ધરીને, ચોટીલા ડુંગરે વસે છે તું
હૈયે રહેલ કાળના ડરનો, નાશ કરે છે તું
મહાકાળી નામ ધરીને, પાવાગઢમાં વસે છે તું
જગમાં તારા વિના કાર્ય ના ચાલે, વ્યાપી સઘળે તું
ઘર-ઘરમાં લક્ષ્મીરૂપે પૂજન થાતું એ છે જાણીતું
રૂપ ધરી અનોખાં કાર્યો કરી, જગને સમજાવે તું
ગુણો તારા હૈયે ધરીને ભજશે, એના સંકટ હરશે તું

sidhdhāṁbikā kēruṁ nāma dharī, ḍīsāmāṁ vasī chē tuṁ
bhaktō kērāṁ kāma karavā, jagamāṁ jyāṁ-tyāṁ pharatī tuṁ
bahucarā kēruṁ nāma dharī, śaṁkhalapuramāṁ vasī chē tuṁ
mātā āvalanā śabdō pālī, pagē khōḍa svīkārē tuṁ
khōḍiyāra kēruṁ nāma dharī, tāṁtaṇiyā gharē vasē chē tuṁ
kāmakrōdharūpī haiyāṁ kērāṁ, caṁḍa-muṁḍanē mārē chē tuṁ
cāmuṁḍā nāma dharīnē, cōṭīlā ḍuṁgarē vasē chē tuṁ
haiyē rahēla kālanā ḍaranō, nāśa karē chē tuṁ
mahākālī nāma dharīnē, pāvāgaḍhamāṁ vasē chē tuṁ
jagamāṁ tārā vinā kārya nā cālē, vyāpī saghalē tuṁ
ghara-gharamāṁ lakṣmīrūpē pūjana thātuṁ ē chē jāṇītuṁ
rūpa dharī anōkhāṁ kāryō karī, jaganē samajāvē tuṁ
guṇō tārā haiyē dharīnē bhajaśē, ēnā saṁkaṭa haraśē tuṁ

Here in this beautiful hymn, Kakaji talks about the Divine Mother Amba and the glory which She brings in a human’s life-
When the heart is dispelled in darkness, You light the lamp of illumination
You have adorned the name of Amba, You are renowned in the whole world
Just in mentioning Your name, every work of the being is accomplished
You have the name of Siddhambika, You reside in Disa
You get all the work of the devotees accomplished, You wander around the world,
You have adorned the name of Bahuchara, You reside in Shankhalpura
You have all loving names, You accept the defect in the legs
You have adorned the name of Khodiyaar, You reside in Tantaniya
All the deeds of Your anger reside in the heart, You killed Chund and Mund
You have adorned the name of Chamunda, You reside in the mountain of Chotila
When there is fear of death in the heart, You destroy the fear
You adorn the name of Mahakali, You reside in Paavaagadh
The world cannot function without You, You are omnipotent
In every household, You are worshipped as Laxmi and it is a well-known fact,
You have disguised in many incredible forms, You explain the world
When a being will worship You with Your virtues in his heart, You will remove all his obstacles.
Kakaji, in this beautiful hymn, explains that though the Divine Mother has a plethora of names and innumerable forms, yet a devotee who worships Her with all his heart, the Divine Mother will take him in Her auspices and remove all his obstacles.
