જનમોજનમ રહ્યો ભટકતો, ભટકવું આજ ભુલાવી દે

તારાં દર્શન કાજે માડી, આજ લાયક તો બનાવી દે

ભૂલ્યો હોઉં રાહ જો તારી, રાહ તારી આજ સુઝાડી દે

યાત્રા છે તો ‘મા’ તારા સુધી, ભાથું એનું ભરાવી દે

માયાનું વિષ તો પીધું ઘણું, આજે પ્રેમ તારો પીવરાવી દે

સંસારતાપ તપે છે ઘણો, કૃપા કેરો છાંયડો ધરી દે

હૈયે વાસનાનાં નર્તન જાગે, માડી આજે એને સમાવી દે

સદ્દગુરુ દેવેન્દ્ર ઘીયા (કાકા)

tārāṁ darśana kājē māḍī, āja lāyaka tō banāvī dē

bhūlyō hōuṁ rāha jō tārī, rāha tārī āja sujhāḍī dē

yātrā chē tō ‘mā' tārā sudhī, bhāthuṁ ēnuṁ bharāvī dē

māyānuṁ viṣa tō pīdhuṁ ghaṇuṁ, ājē prēma tārō pīvarāvī dē

saṁsāratāpa tapē chē ghaṇō, kr̥pā kērō chāṁyaḍō dharī dē

haiyē vāsanānāṁ nartana jāgē, māḍī ājē ēnē samāvī dē

English Explanation

He is praying...

Wandered around life after life, please make me forget about wandering, today.

For your vision, O Divine Mother, please make worthy of you, today.

If I have forgotten my path towards you, please make me realize of that path, today.

My journey is only up to you, O Divine Mother, please fortify me for the journey.

Have drank a lot of poison of this illusion, please make me drink only your love, today.

The heat of this world is very high, please provide me with the cool shade of your grace, today.

All the desires are always dancing in the heart, O Divine Mother, please contain them, today.

Kaka is praying for union with Divine Mother. Prayer is a process to connect with the universal source of energy. The element of seeking is so dominant in Kaka’s prayers.
