In this English hymn, He shows us the importance of striving towards our ultimate goal of becoming one with God -
To become one with God is not a short process of just a hop, skip and jump but a very, very long process
While we can be in the immediate presence of God represented in one of His many images and forms, He is still not that easy to become one with
We will have to struggle hard to live as per the ways taught by Him to become one with Him
We have to make our own efforts to achieve Him and not get diverted from our focus on Him
We have to make the determination to become one with Him and then actually put in the efforts to reach Him
We should not wander off on another path towards a different purpose in this wordly and material life, as this path will not converge later on towards God
If we make God our only target, He only will help us make our way towards Him without our needing anyone else for anything
God and we have been together in our past and God and we are together even in our present, whether we realize and acknowledge it or not ; so, only God and we together can create our future
We should never waver in our goal of becoming one with God and making strides on the path showed by Him
As we continue to make our sincere efforts, God will also facilitate our path towards reaching Him in innumerable ways
Kaka is guiding us and motivating us on our necessary journey of becoming one with God, while acknowledging that it is going to be a long journey requiring a lot of efforts from our own determination to want to be with God. But at the same time, Kaka is assuring us that by following the right path shown to him by God and also graced us through all the Bhajans (hymns), we need to persevere with a single focus on only Him and we will get close and closer to Him, till we ultimately are able to reach Him.
